I call bullshit. You were consciously data mining. You knew it was wrong but didn’t care until you got caught. Users need to stop buying this garbage and revolt permanently when this type of behavior is caught. That way the next company will think twice, otherwise they’ll think an apology is all they need and will continue to happily invade, record, store and or sell your privacy.
